About Chef Meeta Makhecha
Founder of “The Flour Works”
Born and raised in Pune, Meeta Makhecha had always been passionate about the culinary world. Which is why she signed up for the 18 month chef training course at the California Culinary Academy during her time in San Francisco. She worked at reputed fine dine establishments in San Francisco before heading back to India. It was during this period that she also learnt the craft of chocolate making from none other than Michael Recchiuti.
Upon returning to India, Meeta consulted with a bunch of renowned brands before shifting her focus to her own work. She hunted for the perfect space, got her loans secured, raised funds, got a lovely team together, and the rest as they say is history. At “The Flour Works”, with the support of her team and her loyal patrons, Meeta has been able to build a brand that is today one of the best cafes in the city. Grateful and still as passionate about her dream, Meeta continues to create and innovate.
